"Hakanai" is a Japanese word that means “transient, short-lived, momentary, ephemeral...” and so on. It was an album that I produced a few years ago, inspired by the works of Japanese writer Yasunari Kawabata, which I was reading at the time. The way he describes human emotions and the passage of time had a big impact on me, so I was immediately inspired to create a soundtrack for the images that his writing created in my mind.
