"A Glimpse Of Hope" is about the need to build a home for hope during dark times.
"Released on the aptly named Healing Sound Propagandist label, Ferreira’s A Glimpse of Hope is 51 soothing minutes of gently bright cosmic tones. These glassy, softly ringing drones are created entirely through the use of guitars and loops, but you’d swear that they were being produced by some sort of synthesizer or perhaps some heavily manipulated recordings of choirs singers. The entire lengthy piece rolls and sweeps like passing clouds in a wide-open sky. The longer you let it drift around you, the more it and its positive vibes seep into your mind, leaving you and your body in a deeply relaxed state. Much like the label’s namesake, the sound of this record is in fact very healing indeed." (recordcratesunited.com)
"A Glimpse of Hope is made by a wonderful sound design, created, mixed and mastered by Carlos himself. Dark ambient but with greater tonalities, a sign that despite the negativism the artist does not totally lose contact with the positivity of his inner light. remembering a lot of Basinski and Tim Hecker. (...) 51 minutes of beautiful feedback and sounds reminiscent of ancestral sounds, but which in reality are the result of experiments through guitar, loops and granular processors, thus making every minimum change and passage truly organic and changeable." This record is a real piece of art. Beautiful sound textures, brilliantly sculpted. Valgeir is a big influence of mine, and this record was probably what I heard most of him. Highly recommended! Carlos Ferreira
Second album by my friend Fu_k the Zeitgeist, co-producer of "Híbrido". From all of his solo discography, this is probably my favorite. Also had the privilege of participating in several tracks. Carlos Ferreira
